• October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - #BREASTCANCERAWARENESSMONTH

The entire month is a reminder that there is a gruesome disease that effects 1 in 8 women and 1 in 1000 men in the United States. We are reminding people to be proactive about fighting this invasive disease and not to forget to support those who are suffering from breast cancer.

Meet Irene V Henry, a loving mom of two and affectionately known as "GiGi" to Chief Cuteness Officer Emerson, who is 9 years old. Irene & her office has been actively involved in her community and has made a significant impact through her various roles and volunteering efforts.

In the past, Irene served as the Ventura Rotary President, showcasing her dedication to community service and leadership. Currently, she holds the position of Ventura High School's Rotary Interact Liaison, a role she has been committed to since 2015, fostering the growth of young leaders.

Passionate about sports and mentoring, Irene coached the Villanova Prep Ladies Volleyball team from 2004 to 2012, leaving a lasting positive influence on her players' lives.

In addition to her community involvement, Irene enjoys supporting and volunteering with local businesses and organizations. She has been a Board Member and Volunteer Member of the Santa Barbara Boys & Girls Club, contributing to the improvement of young lives. Irene has also been a supporter of the Braille Institute of Santa Barbara, recognizing the importance of accessibility for visually impaired individuals.

Both Irene & Fellow State Farm Agent Dena Rogers have been sponsors to see the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Ventura County Medical Center come to fruition. This year they partnered up with the Aut2Run sponsorship & have been an ongoing supporter of the Ventura High School Girls Softball & Tennis Teams.

Her commitment to inclusivity extends to her involvement as a Volunteer and Supporter, making a difference in the lives of athletes with intellectual disabilities.

As an advocate for professional development, she & her team are active members of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce.
